The McCoomb Room in the Yarra Glen Memorial Hall commemorates Albert John McCoomb.

Albert McCoomb served in the 2nd / 21st Battalion during World War Two and after the war finished he returned to Yarra Glen and became a member of RSL Yarra Glen Branch, serving as a member, secretary and president.   He was also a member of the Yarra Glen Progress Association, and an office bearer at the Football and Racing Clubs.
