This park was mamed in honour of Ambrose Tilney
A son of one of the original holders of land in the town of Woodford.
Ambrose Tilney was born in Woodford on March 18, 1885 and was employed by the Caboolture Shire Council for 49 years 7 months in the `Pick and Shovel` days, retiring in 1959 at the age of 74 years.
When this plaque was unveiled (September, 1980) he was the oldest resident in Woodford where he lived at 12 Hendy Street since 1920.
