The stained glass window commemorates William Leofric Barns who died in 1880.
[From our correspondent] One of our valued and respected townsmen shuffled of this mortal coil on Friday morning last - William Leofric Barns, Esq., late Government Surveyor. Mr. Barns, as your readers are no doubt aware, was related to Messrs. Barns and Barns, Solicitors of Maryborough. He was a young man of great promise, being energetic and persevering: a good son, good husband and kind father. Among his fellow townsmen he was first favorite for his unassuming manners, and his willingness always to oblige endeared him to all classes of the community.
