The Innamincka Town Common was renamed in memory of John Osborne who died in 2018.
The Innamincka Town Progress Association (with new president being our own Clinton Stephenson) arranged for the installation of "The John Osborne Memorial Town Common" sign. John Osborne had been involved in the community for well over 30 years and he was considered the unofficial mayor of Innamincka. He was the president of the progress for many years and also maintained all the town infrastructure. It was a common sight to see him bouncing around town on his John Deere tractor to fix something about the place.
