Sedunary Park
Sedunary Park was named in honour of Ken and Val Sedunary and officially opened on 8th December 1961.
The Sedundarys came to Barmera after World War II and in 1954 Ken established a rose and fruit tree nursery at Loveday. They were noted for their generosity, donating trees, shrubs and roses to various community projects and schools in the Riverland and Mallee.
Sedunary Park was an attractive park that was popular with locals of that era. In more recent times the park has evolved into Barmera Playspace, a large and busy children`s playground, which was officially opened on 18th October 2011.
