Born near Kelso Scotland c 1814, where he married Elizabeth Lamb 1839. Arrive Port Phillip 1841 - sawyer, quarryman Portland Bay District. Manager Maaoupe Station from c 1846. Storekeeper Penola from c 1852. Mail coach operator 1862. Mason who built this Mechanics` Institute 1869. Farmer Lake Mundi Victoria from c 1869, where he died 1881 aged 67.
