On the 24th November 1972, this park reserve was dedicated to the memory of the late Ewan McDermott Batt
As Queensland Manager for Hooker-Rex Estates (1969 - 1971) was primarily responsible for the planning and commencement of this unique waterway development known as “Paradise Waters”
