The Childrens Playground was erected by the Home Hill Rotary Club in 1963 in memory of the late Arch and Maud Dunn. The park is known as the Arch Dunn Memorial park.
The Dunns were prominent business people in Home Hill and Arch was a foundation member of the Home Hill Rotary Club.
The park was upgraded in 2007 as a joint project by the Home Hill Rotary Club and the Burdekin Shire Council. Further renovations were carried out in 2018.
