DR GEORGE ELLIS DRIVE
Named in honour of Dr George Henry Ellis M.B., B.S., F.R.A.C.G.P. ( 1915 - 81) for his contribution to the community. Dr George Ellis was a medical practioner in the city for 26 years and through his life-long dedication to the well being of all humanity, and his interest and involvement in community activities, became a truly respected citizen of Charters Towers.
