The Chapel commemorates the former Principal, Heather Barr.

Heather Barr hailed originally from Toowoomba, Queensland, and completed her last two years of schooling at Presbyterian Ladies College graduating in 1949. Miss Barr was Principal of the school from January 1968 until her sudden death at the age of 59 in July 1989. Miss Barr was the first Old Collegian to be Principal.
