The Plaque is dedicated to former teacher Jocelyn Devlin who died in 1991.
Jocelyn Devlin commenced at Miami in January 1985 as Assistant Principal, Junior Primary. Jocelyn was an inspiration to staff and students alike and gave freely of her time to oversee the Junior area of the school both inside and outside school hours. Jocelyn was hospitalised after becoming ill in 1989, but still continued to work whenever possible. She finally lost her battle with cancer on 13th January 1991. She made a very large contribution to Miami Primary School and is sadly missed.
