Memorial garden near Manning House commemorates Isabel Fidler (1869-1952), tutor to women students. Her portrait painted in 1931 by W. A. Bowring, hangs in Manning House.
Isabel Fidler was tutor to women students at the University of Sydney a position she held until 1939. She was an office bearer in all the university women's societies. She was also active in a range of women's groups including the National Council of Women (New South Wales Branch.)
