Front Inscription
Sacred to the memory of Alured Tasker Faunce, Esquire
Formerly Captain of Her Majesty`s 4th or King`s Own Regiment, and for nearly twenty years Senior Magistrate of this District, who died suddenly on the 26th April 1856
Aged 47 years.
This tablet is erected by the inhabitants of Queanbeyan and its vicinity, as a mark of the respect and esteem in which he was held in the community amongst whom he so long resided.
