Erected as a token of gratitude and in memory of Councillor Alfred John Sloan
Born 31 - 3 - 1876 Died 19 - 6 - 1965
Who gave a life of service for the citizens of this area and served as a Councillor for the Shire of Woorayl for 30 years.
In particular he is remembered by the residents of East Tarwin, Milford, Dollar, Dumbalk and Dumbalk North Districts for his many acts of kindness and leadership.
