A plaque and lookout tower commemorates Kerang citizen, Henry Lester Smith (1887-1978), a member of the Kerang Shire Council from 1932 to 1965. He was also President of the Murray Valley League from 1956 to 1960 and chairman of Region 3 from 1950 to 1965.
