The plaque commemorates James Nelson Greer, a Cobb & Co driver, and his son Robert Watt Greer.
Dirranbandi Fatal Accident.-While riding a horse in pursuit of other horses Robert Greer, aged 16 years, was thrown heavily, and sustained concussion. He was taken to the Mungindi Hospital, where he died without regaining consciousness.

The plaque states that the burial place of Robert Watt Greer is unknown, but he is buried in the Roman Catholic section of the Mungindi General Cemetery.
