The stained glass window commemorates Lieutenant Mervyn Blacklow who was killed in action in August 1918, in France during World War One.

An orchardist prior to his enlistment on 23 August 1915, he embarked for service on 24 November 1915 from Melbourne on board RMS Orontes. Blacklow was killed in action on 11 August 1918 age 26, the son of Frederick Henry and Sarah Anne Blacklow of Tasmania, he is buried in 526 Heath Cemetery Harbonnieres in France.

Note : From May 2019, The Department of Education has been in talks with the Anglican Church with regards to the purchase of the property.
