 The extension to the former Hawthorne Presbyterian Church hall commemorates Sergeant Pilot Ian Dunn who was killed in action in Europe in 1942 during World War Two. Ian Dunn had been a minister of the church from 1939 to 1940.
The former Hawthorne Presbyterian Church hall is now a child care centre.
