 The plaque commemorates Private Stanley S. Williamson who was killed in action in France on 4 October 1917 during World War One.
There was a large attendance at St Paul’s Church on Thursday night, on the occasion of the unveiling of a memorial tablet to Private Stanley Williamson, son of Mr and Mrs Geo. Williamson, of this town. Special hymns were sung. The ceremony was performed by the Ven. Archdeacon James, who subsequently gave a most impressive address. During the offertory Miss Lucas rendered a solo in a most acceptable manner.
