Private Ernest James Rowe Print Page 
The marble tablet was erected in memory of Ernest James Rowe who was killed in action during the South African (Boer) War.
It was originally unveiled in the Yielima Wesleyan Church and unveiled in 1902. The plaque was later relocated to the Yalca North Uniting Church at a later date. The church was destroyed by a storm in 2015 and the plaque is now located at the Yalca Hall.
Note: As at September 2018, the Yalca Hall has been sold and the whereabouts of the plaque is unknown.
