The carved wooden plaque commemorates brothers Corporal Alexander Douglas Bethune and Trooper Norman McLeod Bethune 

Trooper Norman McLeod Bethune died of wounds in Palestine on 19 April 1917.  

Corporal Alexander Douglas Bethune was killed in action at Gallipoli, Turkey on 7 August 1915.
