The plaque commemorates Flight Sergeant John WIlliam Van Cooten and Private Jack Osborn Etheridge who died in World War Two.
Flight Sergeant J. W. Van Cooten was killed in action in Montdidier France on the 18th June 1944 and Private J. O. Etheridge died in a Prisoner-of-War Camp in Borneo on the 19th July 1944 . Both men were aged 23 years.
