The plaque commemorates Second Lieutenant Kerry P. Rinkin who was killed in action in South Vietnam in 1967.
Kerry Rinkin was promoted to Second Lieutenant six months after call up on June 30, 1965. He was Platoon Commander of 4 Platoon B Company when on April 7, 1967 he was wounded by a mine. He died of his wounds three hours later in 2 Field Ambulance, Vung Tau.
