The plaque on the church fence commemorates Mr and Mrs John Gillam, former members of the Methodist church.
The death of Mr. John Gillam occurred at his home near Black Hills yesterday morning. Mr. Gillam had seen in failing health for some months. He was well known and respected throughout the district. He had carried on farming pursuits at his late residence for many years. Mr. Gillam took an active interest in the Westbury Methodist Church and at the time of his death was a church trustee.
