The marble plaque commemorates Sarah Shipphird, who was the founder of the church Sunday school. Sarah was the wife of Reverend Shippird, the first Minister of the Church.
Note : As at 21-December-2014 this plaque was in private possession, but is planned to be moved to the Brighton Municipal Memorial Hall.

The loving help meet of the first Minister of this Church Revd J. W. Shippird, and the founder of the Sunday School in which she labored for over thirty years.
Died Decr 13th 1911, aged 86 years.
