The plaque, erected by parishioners, commemorates Olive Pearl Richardson, a member of the Ladies' Guild for twenty-eight years who died in 1965. The notice board outside the church was erected in her memory.
She worked hard for several other community affairs including the Returned Soldiers League and the Bush Nursing Centre.
Note : As at July 2016, public access to the Church of the Ascension was closed and the church was on a list of Anglican Church properties for sale in 2018.
