The plaque commemorates Alfred Green.
Alfred Green was a founder of the legal firm of Ritchie & Parker, Alfred Green & Co, and he was was closely associated with St. John's Church and was a churchwarden for four years, and trustee of the Launceston Church Grammar School from 1870 until his death.
