The plaque commemorates cricketer, Alan Davidson, AM MBE
Alan Davidson was the complete cricketer, a player who in the late 1950's and early 1960's was the world's finest new ball bowler, who took sensational catches and whose big hitting has rarely been equalled.
A six which landed on the old Brewongle Stand's roof is one of the Sydney Cricket Ground's biggest. He later became New South Wales Cricket Association President and a Sydney Cricket Ground Trustee.
