The plaque commemorates cricketer Neil Harvey, M.B.E..
He played cricket for Australia from 1947-48 to 1962-63, and for most of that time was regarded as Australia's premier batsman as well as its outstanding fieldsman. A left hander he played with style, dash and sparkling footwork.
The Sydney Cricket Ground became his home ground when he moved to Sydney from Melbourne in 1957.
