The change room at Ulladulla Sports Park was named in memory of the late Eric Payten.
Eric Payten attended the first Group 7 Junior League Meeting which was held in Kiama late in 1955. The following year Milton Ulladulla entered two Junior teams in the competition, the Under 12s and Under 15s and the Under 18s in the senior competition. Eric Payten coached all three teams.
The Under 12s and Under 15s won the premiership and Under 18s were defeated 2/0 in the Grand Final. The narrowest winning margin in a Grand Final in the history of South Coast Group 7.
Later in Life Eric Payten was made a Life Member of the Milton Show Society, Mollymook Surf Club and Milton Ulladulla Rugby League club.
