The Boat Ramp commemorates Sue Fieldhouse, an early member of the Barmera Water Ski Club, and went on to achieve the following:

•  Won thirteen 13 Open Women’s Australian Titles including 9 slalom, 2 Trick Titles and 2 Overall Titles
•  Represented Australia at five World Championships – winning 1 Silver Medal and 2 Bronze Medals
•  In 1981 set a World Record in Slalom of 1.5 @ 11.25m
•  Moomba Masters Slalom Champion 1977 to 1982
•  In 1971 awarded South Australian Sportswoman of the Year
•  Held the Australian Slalom record from 1974 to 1990
•  Set a World Record in Slalom of 1.5 buoys @ 11.25 metres in 1981
•  Represented Australia in four Asia Pacific Championships - winning 4 Gold Medals, 9 Silver Medals and 3 Bronze Medals
•  Held the Australian Woman’s Slalom Record from 1974 until 1990
•  Won the Moomba Masters Woman’s Slalom Title 6 times – leading to the presentation of a trophy each year, named in her honour
• Represented South Australia fifteen times at the Australian Championships and was Women’s State Champion on eleven occasions
• Was South Australian Sportswoman of the Year in 1971
• On March 12th 2011, she was was inducted into the Australian Waterski & Wakeboard Federation Hall of Fame

Tragically, she was killed in a car accident in 1982, whilst returning home from a tournament at Lake Moodemere, near Albury.
