A bridge commemorates Geoff Shadforth who was killed in an accident at a charity motorcycle event in Cambodia in 2013. He died raising money for charity.

He was the son of Shadforths Civil Contractors founder, Peter Shadforth and his wife Noelene, and was known for his involvement in community services and numerous charities. He was heavily involved in the design and delivery of key infrastructure in Stockland's Oceanside development, including the bridge on Florey Boulevard.
