The board commemorates Wayne Jones, who was a student at Downlands College from 1978 to 1982. The Honour Board lists the names of the kindest seniors to juniors for the years 1982 to 1998.
On 12 June 1983 Wayne Jones passed away in a fatal motorbike accident. Wayne was a member of Doyle House and to his house and his school environment Wayne brought his own special brand of joy and happiness in his many endeavours. He is probably best remembered for his participation in the Cadet Corps and Band having been Drum Major in 1982. He was active in many sporting ventures and other musical pursuits within the school.
