This historical marker was unveiled on September 17th, 1967 by the Minister for Mines the Hon. A. F. Griffith M.L.C
To mark the 75th anniversary of the beginning of the Eastern Goldfields,
The vast riches of which were discovered by pioneer prospecters, here represented by Arthur Bayley (Coolgardie) and
Patrick Hannan (The Golden Mile).
