The monument commemorates those from the Baan Baa District who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

The monument was funded by donations from community members, RSL branches and local businesses.  The powder-coated steel structure was constructed in Western Australia and transported to Sydney, then driven to Baan Baa. The plaque was made in Uralla.
