The Avenue of Honour was planted in 1920 with thirty trees, to commemorate those who served in World War One.
The Avenue of Honour was rejuvenated and a re-dedication ceremony was conducted on the 11th of November 2019.
The town of Browns Plains no longer exists.

This avenue of trees is dedicated to the memory of those volunteers from Browns Plains who enlisted to serve with Australia`s defence forces in the Great War 1914 - 1918 and in particular recognises the two men who paid the supreme sacrifice during this conflict
