Napperby Memorial HallPrint Page
The hall commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
The hall opened in 1963, as the trumpet-and-bass strains of Bill Mayfield’s Nu-tones dance band filled the air. About 600 gathered to hear well-known Napperby resident Humphrey Franks perform the opening ceremony at the £8500 building. The hall was built by Peter Storelli and Salerno and the architect was Geoff Whelan. The hall contains an honour roll.
