The hall was erected by the people of the District and commemorates all those who died in service or were killed in action in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

The building is on the site of the former Upper Swan Memorial Hall which was built to commemorate those from the district who served in World War One.

Plaque :

This hall was dedicated by the Rev. W. B. Churchill and officially opened by N. Lamont Esq on Sat. 22nd June 1957.
