The War Memorial commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved and is in honour of the fallen. 

Behind the memorial is a series of plaques on plinths, including one to Captain Richard Foulds, who served with the Seaforth Highlanders, an infantry regiment of the British Army, during World War Two.
