The plaque commemorates the husbands of all Tasmanian War Widows who died in service or were killed in action or as a result of conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

The plaque was dedicated on the 60th Anniversary of the War Widows` Guild of Australia Tasmania Branch.

To honour the husbands of all Tasmanian war widows who died during or as a result of the many conflicts and unveiled by the Patron Mrs Jocelyn Cox and State President Mrs Joan Cooper.
