Municipality of Brighton Roll of HonourPrint Page Print this page

Photographs supplied by Cathy Harper, Brighton Council / Arthur Garland

The honour roll consists of two boards which commemorate those from the Municipality who served in World War Two and the Korean War.

The names of two young men who enlisted from Brighton for the war in Korea will be included on the Brighton municipal honour roll for the Second World War. The Brighton Council meeting at Pontville yesterday decided this. All returned men eligible for membership of the R.S.L. will be included in the list of names.
The Mercury (Hobart), 13th October 1954.

Note : The “Tasmanian War Memorials Data Base”, compiled by Fred Thornett which is located at the State Library of Tasmania, contains a comprehensive listing of the names on this honour roll.
