German TrophiesPrint Page
The captured German trophies from World War One were re-dedicated in 2002 to commemorate all who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.
A five-point-nine howitzer arrived in Rosewood on the 27th July 1922 as an additional war trophy allotted to the district. The gun is an imposing spectacle and Rosewood is fortunate in securing such a fine trophy. The howitzer at present stands close to the entrance of the railway station.
