Photographs supplied by Arthur Garland

The monument commemorates those who have served in the various conflicts in which Australia has been involved.

It was damaged in the bushfire of 2013 and received a grant for its restoration.  In the restoration, the original design was kept, and was backed by a wall and landscaped "watching on" are 25 poles made from the trees taken from the memorial walk at Port Arthur representing service men and women.

They are cut at different heights to represent the range of different people.
