This propellor was donated by the Royal Australian Air Force Association, as a memorial, in memory of Australian airmen  who died during World Wars I & II and other proclaimed wars during the twentieth century.

Characteristics - Hydromatic, Constant-Speed, Quick feathering

Hydromatic - Controls Blade Angle
Constant Speed - Controls speed between 1200 and 2700 RPM  
Basic diameter 3.5m

Fitted to many types of airplanes built during World War II including American Douglas DC3 and Australian Beaufort bomber.  

Blades are made from aluminium alloy, working parts steel, paint on blades` tips (safety) give improved visual indicators of a turning propellor.
