The bowling club commemorates those who served in World War One.
The Morphett Vale Memorial Bowling Green was opened this afternoon, when about 300 people attended. The president (Mr.T.P. Chambers) said that the green was the outcome of a visit to the Willunga green. The president of the S.A. Bowling Association (Mr. J. C Rundle), who opened the green, suggested that with clubs at Willunga, Clarendon, and Yankalilla a small association could be formed to conduct pennant matches. The president's wife then played the kitty, and Mrs. A. M. Trebilcock, the wife of one of the most active members, played the following bowl.
