St John`s Church Roll of HonourPrint Page 
The honour roll commemorates those from the church who served in World War One.
Heathcote, 29th May. In St. John's Church of England on Sunday evening an honor roll was unveiled by the rector, the Rev. Geo. B. Rogers, in the presence of a large congregation, fully 600 people being present. A specially prepared service was gone through, and an appropriate sermon preached by the minister, his text being Acts 15th chapter, 26th verse-"Men that have hazarded themselves for the sake of our Lord Jesus Christ."
The honor roll, which is an elaborate piece of workmanship, contains the names of 127 soldiers, all of whom have been associated with St. John's Church in the past. This mark of esteem to the boys at the front proves they have not been forgotten by the adherents of St. John's.
