Cherry Gardens War MemorialPrint Page 
The monument commemorates those from the district who died in service or were killed in action in World War One. It was unveiled by Brigadier-General S. Price Weir on the 28th April 1935.
At Cherry Gardens the other day, Brigadier General S Price Weir unveiled a cross in memory of the dead of the district who fell in the war. A number of ex-soldiers and nurses were present at the ceremony.
