The gates commemorate those who served in World War Two.
The proposed new gates at the Warooka Oval was shown at the annual meeting of the District Oval Committee last week. The plan was donated by Mr.J. Marshall, of Minlaton. The President Mr. E. Thomson described in detail the agreement between the Council and the Oval Committee, drawn up by the Council. Adoption of the agreement was moved by Mr. B. Detmar and seconded by Mr. R. D. Feehan.
