The tree was planted to commemorate the launch of the Buderim Foundation in April 2004.
The Buderim Foundation was established by Buderim War Memorial Community Association (BWMCA) as an independent Affiliate as a charitable community organisation working to make the Buderim Community a better place in which to live. The Buderim Foundation was launched in 2004 and, thanks to many generous donors in the community, they started distributing grants in 2008.
