Front Inscription
This plaque marks the turning of the first sod for the traditional tropical Australian garden project by Makoto Ogawa, Mayor of the city of Tokuyama, Japan. The garden is a gift in international friendship from Tokuyama to its sister city Townsville. May 26th 1993
